Vet Trip

Pupper isn't feeling well.  We aren't sure what is wrong, but he has a fever so we are starting him on antibiotics and getting blood work done.  Truth is, with his heart condition, he has a lot of days where he obviously isn't feeling well, and with his bad eye, he runs into things and hurts himself.  But he is being especially irritable and looking especially uncomfortable, so we want more answers.  I love his pup and am so proud of how well he did at the vet today with getting blood drawn.  He stayed close to me and didn't seem interested in exploring, which is also a sure sign he doesn't feel well.

I think Beren doesn't want me to work today.  That means I can just be done for today since my pup wants to play, right??  Hahaha!  Do you love how he curls his lip?  I do!!!  

Beren Talking to Toy

As I have mentioned, Beren talks to his toys.  I caught this little game on video and I had to share it with you because it's just so cute!

Photo Dump!

I am so sorry I got behind on this!  I am making up for it by dumping a lot of photos onto one post.  Beren loves playing with his toys.  He loves holding them, talking to them, and chewing on them.  Hahaha!  

He has no regard for personal space.  That would be his face between my knees. 

He killed the ginger bread man.  I clearly have the evidence.  Haha!

He was confused by the bow and decided he didn't like it.  But I thought it was cute!

After our cat, Penny, passed away, we cleared out her stuff from our office which included taking the gates down.  This meant Beren could be in the office for the first time.  He seemed really pleased to be able to bother me while I work on the computer.

Every single morning, I get up, go to the bathroom, and let Beren out of his crate so that we can cuddle.  I sit on the floor with him in my lap for about 5 to 10 minutes before I get up to let him outside and make coffee.  I LOVE these morning snuggles SO much!

Christmas Toy

I always buy a lot of toys at Christmas time for Beren because the stores have way more selection than any other time of year.  I also really like that most of the new options aren't stuffed toys that he will easily rip apart in minutes.  I figured that Beren doesn't understand holidays, so why make him wait?  I decided he can have a new toy every week until my supply runs out.  Haha  :)

Posing

It's been a while since I used my DSLR camera to get pictures of Beren.  Most of what I post are cell phone pictures.  I wasn't sure how he would respond to the camera in my face, but he did pretty good.  He didn't seem interested in looking at the camera after I took the first picture, so then I had to get a toy for him to look at.  That definitely seemed to work.  I even got a little head tilt from him.  :)

Yearly Shots, Playing Outside, and Bath

Beren has had a crazy day today!  I gave him a bath because I just love when his fur is so soft and nice!  And then we went to the vet for his yearly shots.  She said he looks really good for the fact that he has heart problems.  Everyone at the vet loved him and he got many pats.  His reward for being a perfect pooch was some time outside playing frisbee.  All in all, I think he had a great day today.  :)
