In the Car

Beren was getting impatient as we waited in the parking lot to pick up my husband from work.  Finally Beren sat down and looked out the window at people passing by.  Isn't he cute??!
Also, I want to point out the harness Beren is wearing.  We have had so much trouble trying to walk Beren, even just down the driveway to get the mail, because he tugs so much that he gags and pukes.  We were getting more and more concerned, so my husband suggested that we try a harness.  It took me a couple weeks to remember to buy one, but I finally got one and it is perfect!  It is so easy to walk with Beren now!  He still tugs some, but not much at all!  And he never gags or pukes!  We love it!  I feel bad that I didn't get one sooner!

Fluffy!!

I really wanted to get a picture to show how fluffy Beren is now and especially show how long the hair on his tail is, but Beren isn't the best at holding still for pictures.  So I took a lot.  Haha!  I kept calling him so that he would look at me, but then he would walk towards me and get too close for a picture.  The second picture is the look he gave me after ringing the bell to go outside.  He expects immediate results, but sometimes I make him wait since I know he just wants to go out to play.

Bath!

I accidentally forgot to give Beren a bath last week, and I was reminded on Wednesday because he smelled so bad!  I was so busy with extra stuff going on this week, that I wasn't able to bath him until late last night.  He finally smells good again and is soooo fluffy!  I can't believe how long his hair is getting!

The Stance

Border Collies are known for their stance.  This usually involves them being crouched down almost like a cat ready to pounce.  Of course my special pooch has his own version of this.  His version of the stance is to lay as flat as he can on the floor with his legs tucked under him, his ears back, and his tail straight out.  He looks silly.  I just had to get a picture of it to share!  This is what he does every time he has dropped the ball at my feet and is waiting for me to kick it to him.  What a cutie!  :)

Cuddles

Every morning after my alarm goes off, I get up and let Beren out of his cage.  Then I sit on the floor and he climbs in my lap for cuddles.  I spend at least 5 minutes petting and kissing him before I even have breakfast.  I think this is his favorite part of the day.  :)

Progression of Happiness

If Beren wants you to play with his ball, he starts by getting it right up on you, like right in your lap.  If you actually play with him, he gets very happy and is less likely to shove it in your lap.  Isn't he cute??!!  Sometimes I play with him just so he won't touch me with the ball because I hate when my pants get wet from his slobber.  I suspect that he is learning my weakness and using it against me.  Haha!

Car Rides!

Beren is actually a little unsure of car rides.  He is fine when he is in the car, and he gets excited if I ask if he wants to go for a car ride, but he will not get into the car.  He lays down and makes he hard for me to get him in.  And he normally stands the whole time.  He only sits or lays down if he is really tired or if it is a longer ride.  I took these pictures while we waited in the parking lot to pick up my husband.  :)

Hanging out at Thomas' House

Yesterday Beren went to Thomas' house to play!  He had so much fun!  They played for a long time which made Thomas tired.  Beren didn't like that Thomas wanted to sleep because Beren still wanted to play.  I made sure to get pictures of them together before we left.  Aren't they so cute?!?!

Bath!

He is so big now!  He still holds his ears in a weird way.  Oh well!  I am glad he does so well with bath time!  :)

Curled Up

I love when Beren curls up to sleep in the sun!  It is the only time when he still looks small!  I think he is fully grown now.  He isn't as big as he should be for a border collie, but with all of his health issues, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays smaller than normal.  He is so cute!
