Update

We went to the cardiologist today!  Beren was a little impatient in the waiting room.  He didn't like that he got to meet awesome new people who only said hi for a couple minutes before going back to work out of reach from him.  Haha!  When we went back to the examination room, he did a great job of staying on the table.  The doctor confirmed that he has a heart murmur and rated it at a 4 out of 6 with 6 being the worst.  She recommended a ultrasound which we did.  He was taken away for about 10 minutes and when he came back, the doctor went through the results with me.  She said that he has a small hole connecting the two sides of the heart and so blood is flowing between them.  This is called Ventricular Septal Defect.  The Dr had trouble finding it because it is so small.  She said that he doesn't have any secondary problems such as an enlargement of the heart, but he may develop issues like that over time.  In rare occasions the hole can close naturally.  He is actually doing well!  There are no restrictions in his diet or lifestyle and he doesn't need medication.  We will monitor him to help determine if his condition does worsen.

He was SO well behaved for everyone during his whole appointment!  Everyone who met him fell in love with him because he is such a sweetheart!  I am so proud of him!  And I am glad that at least for now, he can live a normal life!  :)  I gave him a nice treat for being such a good boy!  :)
